BLOOD GROUPING PROGRAMME:


National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College had organized the blood grouping programme for the Government school students in Thoppupalayam on 6th Jan 2016. The NSS volunteers started in college by 10.00 in morning. Nearly 20 nursing students from Vellalar Women’s College accompanied with the NSS volunteers. We reached the government school in Thoppupalayam at 10.30 am. The school Head Master and the Head Mistress welcomed the college NSS team and inaugurated the blood grouping programme. They talked about the prevailing status of the school and their needs for the development of the school.


They also thanked the whole NSS team for arranging such a programme. With that the NSS Programme officers Dr.A.Manimaran, Mr.S.Praveen Kumar, Dr.R.Devipriya talked about the origin of NSS and the activities in NSS. After that, arrangements for the blood grouping programme was carried out by the volunteers and by the nursing students. The programme was started around 11.00 in the morning. The NSS volunteers were separated into two groups and arranged the school students. 



Then the blood grouping was carried out for the students up to fifth. Nearly 118 school students were tested and informed them with their respective blood group. Around 12.30 pm blood test was over.

SPECIAL CAMP 13.02.2017 (MONDAY) – FIRST DAY SESSION I      The NSS volunteers of Kongu Engineering College planned for a special camp at Kanagapuram, Jeeva nagar and Velampalayam from 13-02-2017 to 19-02-2017.The special camp was titled as “ILAYA BHARATHAM”. Around 140 NSS Volunteers started the journey from KEC Campus by 2.00 p.m. and reached the camp site at 2.15 p.m. We were assembled in the ground; the camp was begun with a prayer song, NSS song and thought for the day by the NSS volunteers. We were divided into different committees and   started the work around 2.45 p.m. The NSS Volunteers cleaned the campus by clearing the stones and grasses in and around the school campus. CAMPUS CLEANING PROGRAMME - 1

      The National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College had organized the campus cleaning programme on Sunday (05.07.2015) in the college campus. Every month of first or third Sunday, the NSS Volunteers will involve in campus cleaning programme to spread plastic awareness among their friends. The cleaning programme was started by 6.30 a.m. The volunteers had cleaned various places in the college campus to remove the plastic wastes.       The Volunteers separated into two groups and started cleaning the campus. The volunteers cleaned the non biodegradable wastes like plastic materials and other unwanted waste materials in the college campus. The volunteers found easy with their works on cleaning because the wastes in the campus were reduced when compared to the previous campus cleaning. INAUGURAL FUNCTION

INAUGURAL FUNCTION (30.07.2016):             The National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College organized the inaugural function for the academic year 2016-2017 in Sri Ramanujan seminar hall, IT Park on 30.07.2016(Saturday).The program was started around 4.00 pm. The inaugural function was preceded by Thiru .V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent, Prof.S.Kuppuswami, Principal, NSS Programme Officers Dr.A.Manimaran,Mr.S.Praveen Kumar and Dr.R.Devi Priya            The function was started with the prayer song by our NSS volunteer Selvi.R.Selva Rani. The NSS activities of the academic year 2015-2016 were listed out through multimedia. Then the lightening of ceremonial lamp was done by Thiru .U.L.Dhanavelmurugan, Chief Guest.
