HELMET AWARENESS ACTIVITY
Tamil Nadu is the state with the maximum number of road crash injuries. 20 children under the age of 14 die every day due to road crashes in the country. Nowadays the accidents are increasingly happening in our daily life. To avoid this wearing of helmet is made compulsory in our state from July 1, 2015 by our Tamil Nadu government. A helmet is a form of protective gear to protect the head from brain injuries. The NSS volunteers with the support of the college management involved in checking the helmet in the morning from 8.00a.m to 8.45 a.m.
The NSS volunteers of our college took part actively in checking the two wheeler driver’s every day, for their helmet while coming to the college in the morning to avoid road accidents. They involved in checking the helmet for both the college students and the staff members and they were made to stop at the entrance of the college. People without helmet were warned by the NSS Volunteers and they were asked to use the helmet in the forth coming days.
