PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOGANA



PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOGANA:
                      
         A scheme named "Pradhan Mantri Awas Yogana" was implemeted by the Government of India inorder to provide houses for the needy. In account to this scheme, our  NSS Volunteers were involved in collecting data for the scheme  from the people in the perundurai town.

         The work started from  05.03.2017 and lasted till 19.03.2017. Our NSS volunteers eagerly started their work. On 05.03.2017,a group of NSS Volunteers went to Perundurai Taluk Office regarding this scheme by 9:00 a.m. The team was guided by an official named Gomathi. She and their team gave  forms to our NSS volunteers and instructed how to fill it. About 100 volunteers took part in the survey. They got splitted into several teams and were sent to various wards of  Perundurai taluk . An employee of Taluk office  guided them during their survey. Then our volunteers took lunch break by around 01:30 p.m. . About 2:30 p.m. the NSS Volunteers again started their survey which continued till 6:00 p.m. and our team returned to   our college.

         The survey continued to the consecutive days also .The NSS Volunteers collected data such as name , Aadhar card details ,voter ID number and other needed details  and also about  land details if they were owned .The people were very responsive to the details asked by the volunteers and encouraged for our work. In week days ,the survey was started by our NSS volunteers  at 5:30 p.m. and ended by 7:30 p.m.
         On Sundays  ,the  NSS Volunteers involved in full day process. They started their work by 9:00 a.m. About 80-100 Volunteers actively participated in the data collection process. The team visited each and every house and collected the information. They recorded all the data required for the form .The process lasted upto 5:00 p.m. 

          On the final day(19.03.2017),our team has approached with full interest and the process continued till the evening.After the complete process,the data collected were arranged and submitted to the official of Taluk Office,Perundurai. He thanked and appreciated the NSS volunteers for their dedicated work done.
