ENROLLMENT OF
ELECTORS PHOTO IDENTITY CARD:
On
behalf of Election Commission , our National Service Scheme of Kongu
Engineering College , involved in the enrollment of Electors Photo Identity
Card(EPIC). This session was a continuation of the orientation program of EPIC
that held on 04.07.2017 at Kongu Engineering College.
The
session was centered in CC at Science and Humanities block of our college. It was started about 11
a.m. The session was supervised by a government officer K.Gomathi , from Taluk
of Perundurai. She helped throughout the program and clarified doubts to the
Volunteers then and there. Around 15 NSS Volunteers involved in this voter id
enrollment process.
The
session includes enrolling the names of candidates who have attained 18 years. In
addition to that inclusion and exclusion of names, correction in address, date
of birth and name of their family members were made with the help of the NSS
volunteers. This program was utilised by students, faculty members and lab
attenders of our college.
After
the lunch, again the process continued till 4 p.m. Around 70 candidates were
benefited by this programme. Our Programme Officers Dr.A.Manimaran,
Mr.S.PraveenKumar, Dr.R.DeviPriya were been a support to the volunteers, making
this event a successful one. This was a great chance for many freshers to make
themself as a part of the upcoming elections.
