E-TRANSACTION
AWARENESS PROGRAMME
21.12.2016
On 21.12.2016 meeting was held about
basic awareness of e-transaction by Dr.S.Prabhakaran, Collector, at Erode.
Around 15, NSS volunteers of Kongu Engineering College attended the meeting. In
the meeting, Collector advised our students to create awareness in the shops
around the Sipcot among the concept of cashless transaction.It is very useful to create the awareness and
also used to implement the cash less transaction system.
26.12.2016
On 26.12.2016 training programme was
conducted by State Bank of India (SBI) and Indian Overseas Bank (IOB).They gave
training regarding the how to create awareness
about Point of Sale (POS) machine in the shops. Also gave training about
the applications such as State bank buddy, Paytm. They suggested to implement
the above idea in the shops around Sipcot area. Around 25, NSS volunteers
participated in the training programme.Also the training programme is used to
know the details of cashless transaction details and implementation of above
system.
28.12.2016
On 28.12.2016 we initiated to create
awareness about digital transaction in shops of sipcot and collected data about
their willingness to digital transaction. About
15 volunteers participated in the awareness programme and covered shop areas inside sipcot. Most of
the shops are willing to install Point of Sale (POS) machines and in opening
online mobile wallets.The volunteers
covered 14 shops in which 10 shops gave wiiling to install POS machines. The
rest of the shop owners are not willing to install POS, as they cannot learn
it. The volunteers returned to the college around 7.00 PM.

On 29.12.2016, the volunteers continued
their awareness programme in remaining shops ofsipcotand villages like kuttapalayam. Around
14 volunteers participated in creating awareness and covered about 13 shops.

On 02.01.2017, the volunteers continued
their awareness programme in of kambuliyambatti and nearby villages. Around 13
volunteers participated in creating awareness and covered about 13 shops.
03.01.2017
On 03.01.2017,
the volunteers Started the programme in shops
ofsipcot installing the online mobile wallet. Around 14 volunteers covered and successfully
implementedpaytm 1 shopAavinparlour .
04.01.2017
On 04.01.2017, the volunteers
continued the programme in remaining shops
ofkuttapalayam installing the online mobile wallet. Around 12 volunteers covered and successfully
implemented paytm 1 shop Hotel chennies.
05.01.2017
On 05.01.2017, the volunteers
continued the programme in remaining shops of kuttapalayam installing the
online mobile wallet. Around 12
volunteers covered and successfully implemented paytm 1
shop Hotel chennies.
