BLOOD DONATION CAMP (02.08.2017)
                        The National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College in association with Department of Management studies organized the Blood donation camp on 02.08.2017.The NSS team along with IRT Perundurai Medical college Hospital and Erode Government Hospital arranged blood donation camp at Indoor Stadium. The blood camp was started at 9.00 a.m. 


              The NSS volunteers registered the details of all the blood donors. Around 11.00 a.m Thiru Venkatachalam,Correspondent and Prof.S.Kuppuswami, Principal visited the camp and encouraged the team to continue the work. The students, teaching and non-teaching staff of various department eagerly participated in the blood donation camp and donated their blood.
                 Nearly 40 NSS volunteers participated in the blood camp and guided the blood donors in the camp. About 112 units of blood were collected in the blood donation camp. The Government headquarters hospital, Erode and IRT Perundurai Medical college Hospital thanked our college and the NSS team for assisting with them and appreciated the NSS volunteers for their dedicated work in the blood donation camp. At last the camp ended at 1.00p.m.          
             All the donors donated their blood with the hearty fulfillment . Saving life is greatest one, comparing to anything else. As volunteers, we felt happy for collecting 112 units which would  save several life.

SPECIAL CAMP 13.02.2017 (MONDAY) – FIRST DAY SESSION I      The NSS volunteers of Kongu Engineering College planned for a special camp at Kanagapuram, Jeeva nagar and Velampalayam from 13-02-2017 to 19-02-2017.The special camp was titled as “ILAYA BHARATHAM”. Around 140 NSS Volunteers started the journey from KEC Campus by 2.00 p.m. and reached the camp site at 2.15 p.m. We were assembled in the ground; the camp was begun with a prayer song, NSS song and thought for the day by the NSS volunteers. We were divided into different committees and   started the work around 2.45 p.m. The NSS Volunteers cleaned the campus by clearing the stones and grasses in and around the school campus. CAMPUS CLEANING PROGRAMME - 1

      The National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College had organized the campus cleaning programme on Sunday (05.07.2015) in the college campus. Every month of first or third Sunday, the NSS Volunteers will involve in campus cleaning programme to spread plastic awareness among their friends. The cleaning programme was started by 6.30 a.m. The volunteers had cleaned various places in the college campus to remove the plastic wastes.       The Volunteers separated into two groups and started cleaning the campus. The volunteers cleaned the non biodegradable wastes like plastic materials and other unwanted waste materials in the college campus. The volunteers found easy with their works on cleaning because the wastes in the campus were reduced when compared to the previous campus cleaning. INAUGURAL FUNCTION

INAUGURAL FUNCTION (30.07.2016):             The National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College organized the inaugural function for the academic year 2016-2017 in Sri Ramanujan seminar hall, IT Park on 30.07.2016(Saturday).The program was started around 4.00 pm. The inaugural function was preceded by Thiru .V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent, Prof.S.Kuppuswami, Principal, NSS Programme Officers Dr.A.Manimaran,Mr.S.Praveen Kumar and Dr.R.Devi Priya            The function was started with the prayer song by our NSS volunteer Selvi.R.Selva Rani. The NSS activities of the academic year 2015-2016 were listed out through multimedia. Then the lightening of ceremonial lamp was done by Thiru .U.L.Dhanavelmurugan, Chief Guest.
