SITTHI VINAYAGAR TEMPLE KUMBABHISHEGAM – MOBILIZATION (10.07.2016)
Construction works with an array of
unique features have been completed for the
‘ Kumbabhishegam’ of Vinayagar Temple in Kongu Engineering College.As it
was decided earlier, the opening ceremony function of the temple was held on
10.07.2016. About 500 devotees from various parts around Perundurai gathered to
witness the Kumbabhishegam which took on a grand scale after 10 years.
20 volunteers from the NSS Cell of Kongu
Engineering College had gone there for mobilizing. Volunteers were divided into
two groups. One of the groups took the responsibility of mobilizing and directing
the crowd to the temple and other took up serving.About 500 people had come to worship lord
“Vinayagar”. The volunteers served the food to the devotees and also guided
them to the temple in an orderly manner. The devotees felt that guiding provide
by volunteers were helpful to them and appreciated them for their work.
The
ceremonies were over around 9.30a.m. After that the NSS Volunteers returned
with the utmost fulfillment that “The only way you can serve GOD is by serving
people”. But luckily, the volunteers got to serve both the people and God on this auspicious occasion.
