BLOOD DONATION CAMP
BLOOD DONATION CAMP (04.08.2016)
The National Service Scheme of Kongu
Engineering College organized the first Blood donation camp on 04.08.2016.The
NSS team along with Government head quarters hospital Erode’s blood bank and
Lions blood bankof mid-town erode joined the blood donation camp in Indoor
Stadium. The blood camp was started at 9.00 a.m.The NSS volunteers registered
the details of all the blood donors.
Around 11.00 a.mThiru.V.K.Muthusamy,
Correspondent and Prof.S.Kuppuswami, Principal visited the camp and encouraged
the team to continue the work. The students, teaching and non-teaching staff of
various department eagerly participated in the blood donation camp and donated
their blood. Nearly 55 NSS volunteers participated in the blood camp and guided
the blood donors in the camp.
About 575 units of blood were
donated on the blood donation camp. The Government head quarters hospital
Erode’s blood bank and the Lion’s blood bank thanked our college and the NSS
team for assisting with them and appreciated the NSS volunteers for the good
work in the blood donation camp.

NSS programme officerDr.A.MANIMARAN and to the NSS volunteer Selvan.K.R.UDAYA KUMAR on the behalf of all NSS volunteersas the
appreciation of the work done by volunteers in the camp by Lions club of
mid-town Erode.At last the camp ended at
5.00p.m.All the donors donated their blood with the fulfilment of ‘DONATE BLOOD, SAVE LIFE’. Saving life
is greatest one, comparing to anything else. As volunteers, we felt happy for
collecting 575 units which may save many lives.
