SELF FINANCING UNIT INAUGURAL PROGRAM
SELF FINANCING UNIT INAUGURAL:
National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College has started a 3rd unit (SELF FINANCING UNIT) along with already functioning two units (200 Volunteers) on 17th October, 2015 (Saturday). Now there about 3 units with about 300 Volunteers. The function was held at Kongu Convention Centre. All the first and second year students were made to assemble at Kongu Convention Centre. The seating arrangements for the students were made according to their departments and they were guided by the NSS Volunteers. The function was started around 9.00 am. The chief guest of the function was Shila Shiri Rajasaravana manikkavasaga Guru Swamigal (Kunampatti Adhinam). He was welcomed with the god of honor by the NSS Volunteers.
The function was preceded by Thiru.V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent, Prof.S.Kuppuswami, Principal, Thiru.E.K.Lingamurthy, President, Thiru.P.C.Palanisamy, Secretary, Thiru.E.R.Karthikaeyen, Treasurer, Dr.A.Manimaran, NSS Program Officer (Unit-I) and Mr.S.Praveen Kumar NSS Programme Officer (Unit-II), Dr.R.Devi Priya. The function was started with the prayer song by our NSS volunteer.
Then the function was followed by the lightening of ceremonial lamp. Lightening of lamp was made by Shila Shiri Rajasaravana manikkavasaga Guru Swamigal (Kunampatti Adhinam), Thiru.P.C.Palanisamy, Secretary and by NSS Programme Officers.
The welcome address was by Prof.S.Kuppuswami, Principal. He welcomed the gathering and talked about the Chief Guest and the Correspondent. He told that the National Service Scheme is doing wonderful activities and involving in many awareness programmes. He motivated the students to involve in more service related works and to create awareness among all students. In his address he congratulated the whole NSS team for receiving the Best NSS Unit, Best Programme Officer, and Best NSS Student Volunteers and he also asked the entire team to maintain the same. With the welcome address, the Chief Guest, Shila Shire Rajasaravana manikkavasaga Guru Swamigal (Kunampatti Adhinam) gave awards to Prof.S.Kuppuswami, Principal for Best NSS Unit, Dr.A.Manimaran, NSS Programme Officer for Best Programme Officer and to Mr.P.Prathap for Best NSS Student Volunteer. The Presidential address was by Thiru. V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent. He welcomed the gathering and talked about the activities and awards of National Service Scheme. He also motivated the students to maintain the same.
As a token of love and gratitude Thiru.E.K.Lingamurthy, President presented a momento to the Chief Guest Shila Shire Rajasaravana manikkavasaga Guru Swamigal (Kunampatti Adhinam). The function came to an end around 11.30 A.M. with the vote of thanks by Dr.R.Devi Priya.

Followed by the award function, the opening of Self Financing Unit took place. The Programme Officer for the Self Financing Unit was Dr.R.Devi Priya, Department of Information Technology. She received the order letter for the third unit from the Chief Guest.
The function reached its saturation through the address of Chief Guest. He started his speech with the prayer song. He talked about the way through which God had originated. He teached some important methods for the students to attain success in life.
