NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

       The National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College organised the valedictory function FACIO-15 on 13.04.2015 (Monday) at Swami Vivekananda seminar hall in Mechanical block The function was started in the evening by 5.00 pm and the program was preceded by Dr.P.Navaneethakrishnan ME, MBA, PhD, and Professor, Head of Mechanical Department , NSS Program Officer’s Dr.A.Manimaran and Mr.S.Praveen Kumar. The function was started with the prayer song by the NSS volunteer.        At 5.15 pm, the welcome address was delivered by Miss.K.Sujitha, NSS volunteer. She welcomed the chief guest Dr.P.Navaneethakrishnan, ME, MBA, PhD, and Professor, Head of Mechanical Department, NSS Programme Officers and all the NSS volunteers. Miss.K.Anupriya, NSS volunteer listed out all the NSS activities conducted during the academic year 2014-2015.        The Central Government has planned to link the voter’s id and aadhar card to prevent the malpractices and illegal voting during elections. This plan has been useful since it restricts and prevents the people from having voter id’s in different places. So, the government had ordered the electoral commission to start this process to reduce malpractice. They are planning to execute this by organizing special camps in schools during Sundays of a month. The Tamilnadu Election Commission has also started to execute this plan by organizing special camp in the month of April and the camp was started on 12th April. For this arrangement, they have asked students from several colleges to participate in this camp for the linking process. 120 students of Kongu Engineering College had taken part in this camp.
