NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

      The dengue fever awareness rally was organized by “Kalaikathir” newspaper in V.O.C Park, Erode.  The NSS volunteers started in college at 9.30.AM and reached the rally place at 10.15.AM to create awareness about dengue and swine fluenza among the people in Erode. We entered the park at 10.30.AM, there they provided some refreshment for all the volunteers. Various school, college students and people participated in that rally function. The rally was inaugurated by Erode District Collector, Mr.Karthikeyan. The chief guest in the  function talked about the effect of dengue and swine fluenza in our nation. He asked us to keep the surroundings neat and clean for the healthy India.  Everyone in the function took the pledge, to keep the environment clean and to avoid effect of dengue fever. And also asked not to use plastics. Then the function was continued with the rally. The rally was commenced on 11.30.AM  at V.O.C Park. We started our rally from V.O.C Park then Swasthik corner-

16.02.2015-FIRST DAY:           The NSS volunteers of Kongu Engineering College started our journey by 1.45 PM and reached our camp site, Milady by 2.15 PM. We assembled in the ground and general  instructions were given to the NSS Volunteers about the camp and started our field works. After the completion of the allotted works, at 4.30 PM there was interaction session for the NSS Volunteers and finished our  refreshment. The function was started around 7.30.PM. It was presided by Mr.E.K.Lingamoorthy, M.A., President, KVITT, K.Kirshnaswamy, Mr.V.K.Muthusamy, B.A., B.L., Correspondent, KEC, Mr.C.Kumarasamy, B.A., B.L., Correspondent, KPC, KVITT, Mr.P.Gopalakrishnan, B.A., Director, Tamil Nadu Co-optex, Mr.S.Selvakumar chinnaiyan, Erode district M.P, Mrs.K.V.Manimaekalai B.sc.,K.Thirumoorthy ward member. By 7.40 PM, the function came to an end with the vote of thanks provided by Mr.S.Kathirvel NSS volunteer. We returned to college by 8.30 PM. 17.02.2015 – SECON
