Special Camp - Myladi and Gananipalayam

16.02.2015-FIRST DAY:
          The NSS volunteers of Kongu Engineering College started our journey by 1.45 PM and reached our camp site, Milady by 2.15 PM. We assembled in the ground and general  instructions were given to the NSS Volunteers about the camp and started our field works. After the completion of the allotted works, at 4.30 PM there was interaction session for the NSS Volunteers and finished our  refreshment. The function was started around 7.30.PM. It was presided by Mr.E.K.Lingamoorthy, M.A., President, KVITT, K.Kirshnaswamy, Mr.V.K.Muthusamy, B.A., B.L., Correspondent, KEC, Mr.C.Kumarasamy, B.A., B.L., Correspondent, KPC, KVITT, Mr.P.Gopalakrishnan, B.A., Director, Tamil Nadu Co-optex, Mr.S.Selvakumar chinnaiyan, Erode district M.P, Mrs.K.V.Manimaekalai B.sc.,K.Thirumoorthy ward member. By 7.40 PM, the function came to an end with the vote of thanks provided by Mr.S.Kathirvel NSS volunteer. We returned to college by 8.30 PM.








17.02.2015 – SECOND DAY:  
           The second day works was started from the morning session. The volunteers started in college around 9.00 A.M. and reached our camp site around 9.30 A.M. The main program scheduled for the second day was soil testing. The testing process was started  around 10.00 A.M. The testing  procedures were conducted by M.Rajeshwari, B.sc., Agricultural Officer, Department of Agriculture, Mobile Soil Testing Lab, Erode. Followed by these works, the volunteers were provided lunch by 1.30 PM. Around 2.45 P.M, there was a motivational speech by Prabhu, Senior HR Manager ,Cognizant Technology Solutions, Coimbatore. Around 4.40.P.M the function for delivering the result of soil test was started. The function N.S.Balasubramian, Sub-Agricultural Officer, S.Revathi, M.sc.,Assistant Agricultural Director, M.selvaraj,B.sc., Agricultural Director The welcome address was by  Mr.Gopi. Around 6.15 P.M. There was a special speech by Dr.Sendhilvel murugan,M.E.P.hd. Around 7.00 P.M. There was an interaction programme by R.Mohan B.Tech,M.sc Professor, Department of MBA,KEC. The interacted the students on the topic "Ithu Oru Uvanin Ugam". Finally the function was ended around 9.15pm.








18.02.2015-THIRD DAY:      
        The volunteers started in college around 1.00.P.M and reached our campsite around 1.30.P.M. From1.30P.M-3.00.P.M there was a project expo in the school ground. The projects were made ready by the Kongu Engineering College students and they explained their projects to the people of Milady. After 3.00.P.M, the teaching of yoga to the students was conducted by Mr. S. Subramanian, “Manna valakalai mandram”. They teached the students about the hand and leg exercises. Around 6.10.P.M. function was started. The function was presided by R.Loganathan, Sub Divisional Engineer-BSNL, Mr.K.Balasundararaj, Mr.K.Palanisamy, Mr.S.Subramanian, and Dr.P.Vadivel, Assistant professor, Department of Mathematics, KEC. The welcome address was by R.Loganathan, Sub Divisional Engineer-BSNL. Around 7.20.P.M, Mr.A.S.Ramesh Msc, M.com. M.Ed, M.Phill. P.h.d started his speech with the Topic “Ne Unnai Arindhal”. The function was presided by Mr.N.Govindhasamy, Mr.K.R.Vishvanadhan, Mr.Subramaniam, Mr.S.Selvaraj, and Mr.A.S.Ramesh. At 9.00 P.M. the function came to an end with the vote of thanks by R.Ashwin Kumar.







19.02.2014- FOURTH DAY: 
The NSS Volunteers started by 1.45pm in our college and we reached the village by 2.15pm. One group started with cleaning the ground and the walls for painting and the other group moved for constructing the dustbin. Then around 3.00 p.m. various competitions like storytelling, singing, easy writing, abacus class and drawing were conducted to the school students. The function started around 7.00P.M. The function was presided by Mr.K.Thirumoorthy, Mr.N.T.Kannusaamy, Mr. C.Mani (a) Palanisamy, Ward Member, and Mr.P.Balasubramaniam.M.L. Former member of Advocate Association, Tamilnadu and Pondicherry, Mrs.B.SavithaM.L. Advocate and Mr.R.Thirumalai B.A, B.L. School students was also given chance to show their cultural talents. Finally the function was ended around 9.15pm.







   
20.02.2015-FIFTH DAY:
The fifth  day works was started from the morning session. The volunteers started in college around 9.00 P.M. and reached our camp site around 9.30 P.M. In the morning session, one group of  NSS volunteers trained the school students with the craft works, abacus class and computer classes. The afternoon session was started at 2.00.P.M  with their allotted works.  Around 5.45.PM the function was started and presided by Mr.P.Kadhirvel, Environmental Agricultural  Officer, Mr.S.Rangasamy, Mr.R.Rajendran, Mrs.G.Madhumalar, B.Sc,.(Agri),Seed Inspector, Bhavani. The main program of this evening was debate, presided by Dr.R.Parameshwaran, Head Of Department, MTS, KEC Dr.R.Parameshwaran, Head Of Department, MTS, KEC , Dr.C.Duraisamy, Dean, S&H, KEC,. The judge of this debate was Dr.K.Tamilarashan, Head Of the Department,Physics,KEC. The topic of this debate was "Indriya soolalil thoolil nutpa valarchi seerpaduthukiradha?, seeralikiradha?" Dr.K.Kannan, Assistant Professor, Chemical, KEC ,Mr.Anandha Kumar, Mr.D.Vijay Anandh, Assistant Professor,IT,KEC had gave their speech under the topic "Seerpaduthukiradhu" and Dr.S.Vijayasithra, Professor, E&I,KEC, Dr.R.DeviPriya, Assistant Professor, IT, KEC, Mrs.S.Kavitha Bharathi, Assistant Professor, MCA, KEC had gave their speech on the topic "Seeralikiradhu". Finally, the judgment was in favour of the topic “Seerpaduthukiradhu”. Around 8.55.PM Mr.S.Kupuswamy, Principal, KEC delivered the special address. The function came to an end with the vote of thanks by Mr.S.Kadhirvel, NSS Volunteer.






 



21.02.2015- SIXTH DAY:
     The sixth day session started from morning session. The volunteers leaves from college around 9.00 A.M and reached our camp site around 9.30 A.M. The main program scheduled for the sixth day was free eye camp and free veterinary camp. The camp was honoured by Dr.R.Kumarasamy, M.B.B.S,KVITT, Perundurai, Dr.K.Senkottavelan, M.B.B.S, Correspondent ,KNMHSS, Nanjanaapuram. The eye camp was carried over by the group of doctors from Agarval Eye Hospital, Erode. The veterinary camp was presided by Dr.K.Thangavel, P.V.S.C,  Assistant Director ,Govt. veterinary section, Erode. Dr.N.Manjula, P.V.S.C, Govt. veterinary Assistant Doctor, Vellode. Around 2:00 P.M game events were conducted to the school students in Myladi. Nearly 6:30 P.M the function was started and presided by Mr.C.Karthikeyan,Professor,EBETCollege,Nathakadaiyoor,Mr.V.Nandhakumar, Environmentalist, Myladi. Mr.L.Hariharan, Assistant Professor ,CSE,KEC, Perundurai.        After completion of the speech, the function came to an end with the vote of thanks  given by Mr.V.Sasikumar, NSS volunteer.    





22.02.2015- SEVENTH DAY:
    The seventh day camp started in the morning session. The volunteers leaves from college around 9.00 A.M and reached our camp site around 9.30 A.M.  The main program scheduled for the seventh day was planting saplings. After that around 6:30 P.M the function was started and short flims were displayed about social awareness like blood donation, planting saplings etc.The function was presided by Mr.M.P.Parthiban, Mr.Ganeshan, Librarian Grant 2, Mr.S.Boopathy suntharam. Around 8:10 P.M Mr.M.P.Parthiban started his speech he said his thanks to Dr.A.Manimaran and Mr.S.Praveenkumar for servicing their village.He thanked our college for giving these wonderful opportunity to this village. At last the vote of thanks was given by our NSS volunteer Mr.P.Dhivagar.






23.02.2015 - EIGHTH DAY
         The valedictory function of the NSS Camp 2015 was held in the school campus of Myladi, in the presence of many special delegates. All the NSS volunteers after the completion of all the planned works were assembled in the school campus with a sense of complete happiness in their hearts. The NSS volunteers were satisfied by finishing their works. The function was started at 7.15 P.M with the prayer song by the NSS volunteer.  Around 7.20 P.M welcome address was given by Mr.M.P.Krishnaswamy. After his speech, at 7.25.PM Mr.A.Venkatachalam continued his speech. Dr. A. Manimaran, NSS Programme officer, KEC, Perundurai thanked all the delegates those who came and honoured our camp function starting from the first day to last day.At 7.35.PM a multimedia depicting the activities was presented, which was well appreciated by all. Nearly by 8.00 P.M Mr.P.Gopalakrishnan,B.A.,Director, Tamil Nadu Cooptex,.started his speech. 
                 Rs. 1,00000 was donated by the KVIT Trust to the Government High School and the village, Myladi, which was presented in the form of bank check.   And Rs.10,000 was given by Mr.V.K.Muthuswamy, correspondent, KEC to Government High School, Myladi to develop the school library. After the prize distribution, Mr.V.K.Muthuswamy, B.A.,B.L.,Correspondent, KEC, Perundurai started his special speech.Around 8.15 P.M Mr.A.K.Elango started his speech.   Finally, the function came to an end with the vote of thanks given by Mr.S.Praveen Kumar, NSS Programme officer, KEC, Perundurai.

SPECIAL CAMP 13.02.2017 (MONDAY) – FIRST DAY SESSION I      The NSS volunteers of Kongu Engineering College planned for a special camp at Kanagapuram, Jeeva nagar and Velampalayam from 13-02-2017 to 19-02-2017.The special camp was titled as “ILAYA BHARATHAM”. Around 140 NSS Volunteers started the journey from KEC Campus by 2.00 p.m. and reached the camp site at 2.15 p.m. We were assembled in the ground; the camp was begun with a prayer song, NSS song and thought for the day by the NSS volunteers. We were divided into different committees and   started the work around 2.45 p.m. The NSS Volunteers cleaned the campus by clearing the stones and grasses in and around the school campus. CAMPUS CLEANING PROGRAMME - 1

      The National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College had organized the campus cleaning programme on Sunday (05.07.2015) in the college campus. Every month of first or third Sunday, the NSS Volunteers will involve in campus cleaning programme to spread plastic awareness among their friends. The cleaning programme was started by 6.30 a.m. The volunteers had cleaned various places in the college campus to remove the plastic wastes.       The Volunteers separated into two groups and started cleaning the campus. The volunteers cleaned the non biodegradable wastes like plastic materials and other unwanted waste materials in the college campus. The volunteers found easy with their works on cleaning because the wastes in the campus were reduced when compared to the previous campus cleaning. INAUGURAL FUNCTION (30.07.2016):             The National Service Scheme of Kongu Engineering College organized the inaugural function for the academic year 2016-2017 in Sri Ramanujan seminar hall, IT Park on 30.07.2016(Saturday).The program was started around 4.00 pm. The inaugural function was preceded by Thiru .V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent, Prof.S.Kuppuswami, Principal, NSS Programme Officers Dr.A.Manimaran,Mr.S.Praveen Kumar and Dr.R.Devi Priya            The function was started with the prayer song by our NSS volunteer Selvi.R.Selva Rani.
