ORIENTATION
PROGRAM OF ELECTORS PHOTO IDENTITY CARD:
On
behalf of Election Commission, a session was arranged in our Kongu Engineering
College to instruct regarding the Electors Photo Identity Card(EPIC) to the
ambassadors of nearby colleges in and around Perundurai on 4th July 2017. The
Election Commission of India have planned to enrol EPIC from 1st to 31st of
July.
Three
members representing the Election Commission arrived to instruct the procedures
to be followed during the registration of online form. The session was presided
by L.Chithra, Election DT and N.Sandhiya, Revenue Inspector .The
session started by 3 p.m. in CC at Science and Humanities Block. About 45
members participated in this event from various nearby colleges.
Among
them, our NSS Volunteers represented themselves as the ambassadors of our
college. The officials explained about including, excluding and correction in
the names and address of each and every individual. They stated different links
which performs the various changes that could be made in EPIC. Then the volunteers
were trained to fill the online form through which they could enrol the names
of the students of age between 18 and 19 of their respective colleges.
The session ended by 4:30 p.m.
The session arranged was very useful to the participants to proceed with the
enrollment process.
