PAPER BAG
DISTRIBUTION - (04.07.2016)
The National Service Scheme
of Kongu Engineering College had inaugurated the distribution of paper bag in
the fruit stall nearby Kongu Ladies hostel on 04.07.2016.The function was
started around 9.30a.m. The function was preceded by
Thiru.V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent, Thiru.C.Kumarasamy,
Correspondent of Kongu Polytechnic College, Dr. C.
Duraisamy, Dean, Schools of Science & Humanities.

function was organized along with the opening of the fruit stall. The opening
of the fruit stall was done by cutting the ribbon by Thiru.V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent
and by lightening of ceremonial lamp.
After the prayer, Mr.V.K.Muthuswamy, Correspondent handed over the
paper bag to the fruit stall owner and encouraged the NSS volunteers to
continue the work actively.As we said that we could offer 100 bags per week to the fruit stall
in order to avoid using of polythene bags inside the college. This was
initiated by Thiru.V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent by giving 20 bags in the opening of fruit
stall function. Around 4.30p.m NSS volunteers had given remaining 80 bags to
the fruit stall.
The fruit stall owners
Mr.Ragupathi and Mr.Ragavan encouraged the volunteers and appreciated them and
promised that they will definitely help the NSS volunteers for reducing the
plastics by spreading the importance of the paper bag.
