Independence Day Celebration (15.08.2016)
70th
Independence Day was celebrated by Kongu Engineering College in the play ground
infront of Convention centre on 15.08.2016(Monday).All staff members and
students were participated in the celebration.NSS volunteers involved in
guiding and distributing flag to the people gathering for the celebration. The
function was preceded by Thiru.V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent, Prof.S.Kuppuswami,
Principal.
Around 30 volunteers involved in
mobilizing the function. Students and the staff members started arriving to the
ground from 8.30a.m.Volunteers distributed flags to them in orderly manner.
After distributing the flags, NSS volunteers were arranged themselves in
regular pattern for the celebration.Around 9.00a.m the function started.
The flag was hoisted by Thiru .V.K.Muthusamy, Correspondent in the play ground.
After hoisting the flag, guests were honoured by the NCC Cadets.
Around 9.15a.m Thiru.V.K.Muthusamy,
Correspondent took over the function and gave a wonderful speech about the
Independence Day and he felt proud to celebrate this 70th
Independence Day. March fast was organized by the NCC cadets which took place
by 9.30a.m.Around 9.40a.m flag infront
of the convention centre was hoisted and chocolates were distributed.NSS
volunteers involved in distributing the chocolates to the guests and staff
members, students. The function ended by 9.50a.m.
